Code of Conduct

What article on docs.github.com is affected?

All pages on docs.github.com.

What changes are you suggesting?

I’d like docs.github.com to support functionality that automatically switches me to the GitHub Enterprise Cloud version of documentation when the site detects I’m arriving from an authenticated GitHub domain/session.

Requested behavior

  • If I’m signed in with an account that indicates Enterprise Cloud context, default documentation views should switch to Enterprise Cloud content automatically.
  • The switch should persist across navigation so I don’t have to repeatedly reselect the Enterprise Cloud version.

Why this change would help

  • Reduces friction and repetitive manual version switching.
  • Improves accuracy by showing enterprise-relevant guidance by default.
  • Lowers the risk of following instructions intended for a different product/version context.

Expected outcome
A smoother, context-aware docs experience where authenticated enterprise users are guided to the correct Enterprise Cloud docs version automatically, with clear fallback behavior when needed.
