Hi everyone,

Hi everyone,
My application for education benifits has been approved and it shows copilot has been claimed. But my github copilot shows Free plan.

I don't have an option to enable Copilot student/Pro or switch option on https://github.com/settings/copilot

@olaminoEtude It looks like your Student Developer Pack verification was successful, since the Education Benefits page shows that your academic benefits are active until 2028. My guess is that this may be related to GitHub's temporary pause on new Copilot Student/Pro activations. The message on your benefits page mentions that "new Copilot plan sign-ups are temporarily paused" and that only Copilot Free is currently available for new sign-ups. Because of that, your account may have been verified correctly, but GitHub may not have provisioned the Student Copilot plan yet, which could explain why you're only seeing Copilot Free and don't have an option to switch plans in your Copilot settings.
Of course, it's hard to know for certain from the screenshot alone. If the issue persists for a few days, it may be worth reaching out to GitHub Support so they can check whether your account is affected by the sign-up pause or if there's a separate provisioning issue.

The problem has persisted for over a month, my account was verified on May 13th.
